Enchanching Edi

Our Mission:

PDC’s mission is to help organisations and their leaders understand and promote Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in institutional culture, staff and trustee recruitment, and the delivery of organisational goals, strategies and policies. We help organisations, especially their leaders and trustees, understand why and how EDI will benefit the wellbeing of staff and the creativity, productivity and quality of the work produced at all levels. By starting with a comprehensive audit of current staffing, practices, policies and institutional culture, PDC are able to provide a baseline study and analysis which can inform organisations’ development of appropriate decision-making, strategies, policies and procedures to enhance EDI at all levels.

Our Approach To Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Through the use of an intersectional analysis which looks at the complexity of human subjectivity and the relationship between different identity categories and personal experiences, PDC’s consultants are well qualified to help organisations understand how different types of diversity interconnect and why placing individuals into different imaginary or administrative ‘boxes’ limits progress in diversity, inclusion and engagement.

PDC’s specialist approach to unconscious bias combines analysis of how individual and institutional ideas of what is ‘normal’ and ‘ideal’ interact to produce assumptions and preconceived ideas about different types of people that result in often unintended inequality, exclusion and discrimination.
